(Virtually) Visiting Black Artists All Over The World
My art twin, Edris Cooper-Anifowoshe, and I started a new online series in which we visit with black artists who are creating all over the world. So far we’ve had two episodes and chatted with artists whose work has taken them to Berlin, Nigeria, Sweden, South Africa, and beyond. It’s been so refreshing to embrace online interconnectedness and push against geographical and ideological boundaries. Our episodes live on this Youtube channel and new ones go up every third Saturday of the month at 11am PST (next episode is November 21).
This wonderful article in 48 Hills magazine gives a great description of our series and includes links to past episodes! And it's written by my brilliant friend, Caitlin Donohue, who just published an inspiring book about women in global politics.
